A.B.S. degree holder in Technical engineering from the University of Sofia with a broad industrial experience achieved in the main production line of Kremikovtzi Metallurgic Plant. Later Mr. Georgiev specialized in economics and so started his entrepreneur’s carrier in the early 90’ Prior to founding Helios Power, Mr. Georgiev served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of several banks in Bulgaria and in Eastern Europe. He has constant interest in the sphere of finance, renewables and energetics.
Mr. Ivanov graduated from the University of Economics in Budapest, Hungary, where specialized in International Relations. After his diplomatic career, from 1990 he acted as a private management and PR consultant. In that period he also has gained good experience in investment projects development in the green years of privatization in Bulgaria. Prior to joining HELIOS POWER, Mr. Ivanov had a political curriculum also, in that included the period 2002 – 2005 when he was entrusted by the Prime Minister hold the office of the Deputy Minister of Defence.
Mr. Ivanov is a co-founder and vice-chair of the Bulgarian Photovoltaic Association (www.bpva.org). He is also member of the Board of Confindustria Bulgaria (www.confindustriabulgaria.bg) and AMCHAM Bulgaria (www.amcham.bg).
Mr. Georgiev graduated from the University of Sofia with a B.A. in Linguistics and received his MBA in Economics and International Relations from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia. Mr. Georgiev has served in several Bank in Bulgaria (Bulgarian Foreign Trade Bank, Elitbank, the Bulgarian Post Bank), the Ministry of Finance and the State Claims Agency. He served also as a financial adviser to some investment companies, including the CSIF Investment Fund. He is also founder and the first Chairman of the National Commission on Banking Technique and Practice at the Bulgarian Bankers Association.
Dimitar Vartigov brings 14 years of local and international investment experience,11 of which as Head of Corporate Finance and Capital Markets of CCB Bank and also 10 years of C-level operational experience.
He has good knowledge of advising international institutional and private investors on fund and direct investments, general asset management, M&A, LBO, due diligence, portfolio company leadership. Dimitar is co-founder and was CEO at Health&Wellness REIT, the third biggest publicly traded real estate investment trust on BSE.
Mr. Vartigov has a master degree in finance and is a certified financial consultant (CFP).
